Zero Waste

Zero Waste: Diverting 90% of waste from landfill.

How we achieve zero waste: Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.

Small batch production:

In comparison to large fast fashion producers that dump literally tons of unsaleable product, our small batch production model eliminates waste by only making what we are asked to deliver.

Packaging:

Our packaging is 100% biodegradable and made in the SF Bay Area and Nashville, TN. Producing locally eliminates the carbon footprint of transporting heavy materials around the world and it supports local business. The craft cardboard stock we use is 100% recycled and the “plastic” bags we use to pack the jewelry is made of plant material and biodegradable.

When we receive materials from our vendors we always save all of the packaging (some of which is plastic - yuck!). We reuse this packaging materials when we ship to our retail and production partners.  The same bubble wrap can be used over and over again.

Metals:

Some of the materials we use (chain findings, components) are vintage salvage meaning they were discarded or dumped by companies that went out of business or sold them as “dead stock.” In addition, the metals we use are recycled brass, sterling silver and gold used in the gold plating.

Our Facilities:

We are an almost 100% paperless office and the paper we do use is 100% post consumer recycled paper.

We operate out of a LEED Certified building.

We are powered by Sonoma Clean Power.
